Solid Recovered Fuel

Solid Recovered Fuel

Solid Recovered Fuel is a homogeneous mixture of high-calorie waste materials that can no longer be recycled. The plastics content in this material is high.

SRF is used worldwide in the cement industry as a replacement for fossil fuels. Our suppliers, recycling companies throughout Europe, produce SRF on the basis of plastics and plastic-rich residues from construction and demolition waste and from industrial waste. Mecore is able to guide suppliers towards the production of higher quality fuels that offer added value for their customers. Often it is about the balance between energy value and biogenic share.

SRF is pressed into round or square bales and transported by container or ship.
